Warsaw Art Fair is one of the most important cultural events in Poland. More than 80 leading modern art galleries, antique shops and auction houses from Poland and abroad will offer achievements of remarkable artists and creators of young generation. High class artistic handicraft, furniture, jewellery will be also presented. The Programme Council, which decides on the final list of exhibitors, supervises the appropriate artistic level.
The mission of Warsaw Art Fair is to promote old and modern art. We want Fair to be a place where a road through the world of art begins for many people for who sensibility, emotions and passion are important in their everyday lives. For many years as a part of promoting the art, Fair is accompanied by exhibitions of famous artists (Jacek Malczewski, Tadeusz Dominik, Magdalena Abakanowicz, Witkacy, Tadeusz Kantor, Wojciech Fangor) and lectures on art and art market delivered by high class experts such as dr Bożena Kowalska or prof. Waldemar Okoń and artists – Andrzej Pągowski, Andrzej Dudziński, Rosław Szaybo and others. These meetings are dedicated not only to prominent artists’ achievements but also to the mechanisms of how specific art market functions in commercial, law and auction aspect. Fair is accompanied by graphic workshops and discussion panels with artists, art critics, professionals and collectors.
